The logical thing to do would b to play A. Parents would agree but the Cobras association doesnt want to. Too much pride i guess

Nepean will be middle of the pack at best. Tryouts have been a circus so far. The A team will be pretty competitive though

The 2006 Alfredsson kid is solid but needs to improve his skating in order to excel in tier 1.

Three best players?
Mews, Hughes sure, but Villeneuve is also in the top 3.
McGurn and Nicholl both have exceptional skill, but don't have the same impact on a game.

Best players? Who really cares. Now is the time for players to play a team concept. It doesn't matter if you have the best player(s) but they don't pass or play positionally as a team. There are already a number of inflated egos at this level in Ottawa. There is no need to fill their heads any more and make them feel (even more) better than the rest of their team.

To be one of the best players, you need to pass and play with your team.

If your team doesn't recognize a player like V and pick him up at the blue line, than you will not beat his team.

There have been a few early ex games. It looks like the league should be competitive like last year.

YSE has been attending an early season Ottawa tournament with this 06 age group since major novice. They are a good team and will be in the mix.

Kingston , was a very good minor atom AA team in their loop, apparently the top team in AA according to MHR. Will be hard pressed against some of the local teams. Case in point, they showed very poorly at the Silver Stick AA finals last year.

Quite possible, they are a good team.
However, results from past matchups of YSE vs Ottawa teams does not predict a cake walk for YSE.

2015-09-18 16:00 Cumberland Jr Grads 06 A 2 - 1
