My kids are atom, but I have several friends who have kids that played MP AAA this year. For $2500 more than AA, most said it wasn't worth it. There was also many players who chose not to play due to high cost and time commitment.

One dad I spoke to had his son play MP AAA a year ago, but only played AA this past year. He also said he didn't see the value for double the cost. He admitted that AAA was better, but saw a few AA players who stayed back.

Political BS is always there, but when 4-5 coaches of MP AAA this past year either were pushed out or left on their own, something is wrong.

Not part of AAA at this time, just relaying what I have heard and seen.

Double the cost or sometimes triple, 2 less reg season games, play the same 4 teams over and over makes one wonde why we do it...

the cost could come down if they pay the coaches less. theres no need to pay them this much. a friends kid went from AA to AAA this year for MP and they didn't get any more ice time then they did last year with AA. like said the game was faster but not worth it with the crap they put up with. like any level its hard to find a good coach. that's where its a little better in TO where they are basically super allstar teams with no boundary lines. unfortunately Ottawa isn't big enough to do so

We are most likely doing the spring tryouts and should be no problem getting invited to the summer camp and play it from there. Cost will be a factor considering it is only minor peewee and doesn't have a factor is the big picture.

AAA at major PW restores the pyramid, 5 tier 1, 10 tier 2 and 20 tier 3 teams.
So teams have less weak players. The assn do take the development a bit more seriously and thus the firing of coaches.
The hockey will be better, maybe this year there will be 5 good teams.
Will there be kids staying at AA, for a number of reasons.
Is it worth it? Don't mortgage the house or take out a loan. If you can afford it and there is a good coach, the team will be better and different. A change of parents would be good.
This will get more interesting once the coaches are named

The sens do a spring tryout, do they list the coaches before spring tryout?

As far as I know they are not chosen or at least been released to the public yet it makes no difference for the spring/summer development but will factor in come fall with us

2:38 you brought up a point that has been on my mind."Pyrimid"? 04 Enter into AAA in 2016. With the new changes as well as taking into account the U18 and Jr. HEO pilot. Am I missing something here? does anyone else see a problem with things or question how they can stay the same? how does it works going forward the way it is? what am I missing? their has to be some changes coming?
**T1** for 7-11 y/o till end of min peewee is average 10-11 teams district based AA
Then
**T1** 12-14 y/o is AAA 5 teams consolidation
then
**T1 U18***midget*** 15-17 is...... 12 teams..........(4 schools teams aside) and is linked to CJHL T1/2
I don't know, but this looks like more of an hour glass than a pyramid. So after the log jam of the first 2 years plays out where do all the players come from that will feed 12 from 5 AAA? unless? I'm asking an honest question because I'm truly confused how this works or makes sense.

As stated many times before it does not matter where you play at major peewee minor/major bantam unless you plan on being drafted top whatever in the CCHL (not a great idea) . All these teams have open tryouts and camps that if you had your heart set for your kid to play at a high level later on you kids can attend and if he is any good they will keep him or another team will pick him up.

Yes 12 teams with the best kids leaving to GTHL.
HEO is screwed & controlled by JrA teams which want your dollars.
The U18 is a pilot Maybe it is done is crashed and burned by then

Yeah, HEO is well on its way to destroying AAA hockey. There will be a club system here with the JR teams soon and they will basically own the rights of kids from 7-17...

How many A kids will make AAA next year? I don't think there were any at 03 other than Cyclone imports.

How 03 A kids made AAA this year?
The only way that happens is the AA kids don't tryout.
Titans will have enough AA for S7 and Aces
Wild will enough players from EO, CG, SVR
Sens will have enough with KB & NR
67 will have issue given only few 5-6 GR & OS
Cyclones should not need imports
