Why are there so many AA teams in west, but so few A teams? In east, its the opposite.

It was MIW vs MB night at Hershey as these teams faced off at 5 different age levels including the 06s.

06 MIW/MB ended in a 0-0 tie.
1st period was fairly even.
MB came on strong as MIW were hemmed in their zone for stretches in the 2nd and 3rd.
Although MB had more scoring chances, both teams had opportunities to take the lead in the third.
Both goalies played well making key saves to keep the score tied.
It will be interesting to see how both teams develop over the course of the season.

There are so many players coming from Vaughan and Mississauga that they can fill all the AA teams. Even if the player is not that good, they are needed to fill the roster. It gets harder filling all the A teams.

As previous answer said - Mississauga. The MHL has an A league, that's why GTHL A in the west is so much less. The East also has less NYHL teams and less rinks. I believe this contributes to them having less players to go AA.

West end AA/A talent pool is very diluted because of so many options.

Just looking and they were the only team to not lose against VR in the early bird. Did VR have a bad game, or MNS step up?

VR AA coaches good?? Are you kidding yourself? Do you even know who they are? They are not coaches.... There is no coaching on that team. We have seen it all . Other teams will catch up by Christmas and then it goes downhill for VR.. One guy falls a sleep on the bench and the other swears at kids. The other, trying to find himself...VP will take it. Book it!

Even if VR has peaked, there will be a big enough buffer through to the end of playoffs.

I think both vaughan teams will be top notch. I'm sure a few mississauga teams will give them and each other a good battle for the top.

Talents there but the coaching stinks! Let's see if they can hold off that long.

This poster needs to go back to kindergarten. This is the problem with social promotion in our public schools.

I guess you couldn't get a spot on the team.

Weekend has some good match-ups:

tonight:
TW v VP (good test for TW going up against preseason top 2 or 3 team)
YT v TA (good test for both teams looking to be a part of the top 8)
HH v MIW (HH in a tough test against a preseason top 8 team)

saturday:
DD v TA (TA should prevail)
TW v MT (another good test for TW against another preseason top 4 team)
GTC v MNS (not too sure about either team just yet)

sunday:
ST v DD (ST should prevail)
VP v VR (match-up of the two top 2 or 3 teams)
MB v TE (good test for TE against preseason top 4 team)
