With the season starting tomorrow with 3 games and the conclusion of the Mississauga Early Bird, here are my thoughts on preseason ranking:

VR
MT
VP
MB
DD
ST
MIW
TE
MNS
WML
YT
TW
TA
MJ
HH
GTC

I agree with you for the most part. Don't think DD will be that high.

DD entered the pat larock aaa tourney and held their own, unless that was not the 06 aa team. Maybe this is the reason they're ranked that high according to OP.

TW & TA should be higher

The team that entered the Pat Larock was the 07 DDR team. They beat the DD 2006 AA team 10-0 in an Exhibition Game. DD 2006 AA should be towards the bottom of this loop.

Just a thought...perhaps when providing input we could also provide some reasoning.
That's really interesting that 07 DDR beat 06 DD.
Should DD be above or below MJ?
Also how high should TA and TW be?
I know TA lost all 3 games to some tough teams in MT, ST, and IW.
TW lost to TE and MT and but they beat MJ.
Sometimes you only have scores to go off on.

Season openers:
VR vs WML (VR is on a roll)
MT vs ST (interesting rematch from the weekend)
GTC vs HH (HH looking to improve from their tie against MNS)

IW should be above ST.

ST should actually slide a couple of spots.

VP probably 2nd, with MB 3rd and MT 4th. MB gave us a much harder game then the MT did.

YT should be ahead of WML, who are a bottom 4 team based largely on coaching.

says the self proclaimed YT coach. Buddy, you must really have an inferiority complex. My son is on WML, great atmosphere, full of passion and the kids are learning tonnes and having FUN. Maybe we won't be near the top of the standings, but we won't be trolling websites trashing other hard working people making a difference in kids' lives.

YT didn't play MT and MB...but VR did...so I don't think it's the YT coach posting....maybe a VR parent or coach....but man VR is looking good...

No argument on VR looking good. Excellent players and extremely well coached. Maybe I jumped the gun on that post, but after a similar post last week insulting all of the WML players, along with saying can't believe WML beat YT, makes one jump to conclusions.

This site is great for getting some insight, but way too much time spent insulting the kids and the many passionate coaches volunteering their time.

GTC with a 3-2 victory over HH

Two games on tap for tonight:
MNS vs MJ (could be a close game with MNS taking it)
MIW vs MB (MB should prevail)

GTC/HH pretty equal on the lower half of the group. MJ and MNS will be a close game as both are midpack, just out of playoffs in the standings.
MB/MIW will also be a good game as both teams are top 8.

NS will have a hard time being competitive with any of the playoff teams and they walked all over the Jets.

Just shows the gap between the top 8 and middle 4 and then teams like GTC, HH, WML and MJ
