Have a great last year, relax and enjoy your season.. see you at art Thompson.

....parents do in fact pick players and coaches. The Coaching Director is a parent--and usually the coach who is selected is a parent who ends up picking the players. So this logic makes no sense. I wish parents didn't pick the players and coaches! Non-parent affiliates/board members is the way to go. Just look at the minor midget AA/A mess.

no need to explain it to the competent ones on here. The board is a joke

You are actually the joke posting on here. Pathetic you need to hide behind a computer.

The irony is unbearable. Should we tell him?

way to contribute to the discussion. This "answer" doesn't answer any of the questions asked. Why does the board love chasing good coaches out of the org?

The parents wanted to play for him because he was the Midget A coach. The board got rid of him, so of course the parents are going to stay at A--it's where they wanted to play all along. If the board actually listened to what the parents said, they would have had the Midget A coach move up to AA. End of discussion. Instead the board got rid of the guy and now AA players are playing A. So whose fault is that?

You parents don't give a rat's behind about that coach if you did you would of played house or gone to Pickering, as expected all the threats you made were empty. A lesson learned for the future that just work within the system no your rules. Parents don't and won't ever pick teams.. none of you even showed up at the AGM. That's says a lot. Now that's end of story. Move on and enjoy the season under rules of the association.

Stop making excuses for your own mistakes. You had the chance to make the A coach the AA coach and you didn't. Now Midget in Ajax is a mess--not because of 5 parents, but because the board didn't listen. It is starting to get annoying hearing the board members blame everyone but themselves.

I believe the parents wanted to play A, it never really mattered about the coach. What I never understood about this whole fiasco was why the board got rid of the original coach in the first place? The parents were never told, nor was the coach. It was just "fine, you parents want it this way--2 AA teams!" and look where that got you. If the parents and players were saying they want to play for the coach, then why didn't the board move him up to AA? Now there are a handful of AA players playing A and AE players playing AA. What I was trying to say was that this all could have been avoided if the board just moved the A coach to AA. Instead the board's ego got in the way. BTW I am not a parent on this team; just an outsider looking in

again another example of how BM and CR have screwed over AMHA. How many kids have those two kicked out of ajax hockey in the last three years? Nothing will get better until those two are gone

How pathetic none of you even contacted him to wish him a happy birthday., your all in it for yourself .tossed him aside. Wow just wow. Now that there is a team and a coach you have no use for, him. No chance he'd come back ,

"abandoned" is a strong word to use here. If that is how you feel, maybe you should ask why he left in the first place? Parents and players wanted (and still want) to play for him and his coaching staff year after year. So he must have been doing something right--something like making hockey enjoyable. The board can't stand a good coach (many the OMHA Director can't stand a good coach) because that means someone is better. Many players at the Juvy age now want him to step up and coach because they want to play for him. Doesn't that say a lot about him as a coach?

you clearly are not one of the parents on the Midget A team because you would know that he didn't "abandon" the AMHA. He was pushed out after the board decided to go with 2 AA teams. And then when they decided to bring back the Midget A team, the board decided that they weren't going to bring back the original coach. The board will be called out on MH every time they mention this problem. It was never the coaches problem--always the boards.

Because all the people that would have stepped up to say something were essentially booted out. Just think how exposed that board would have been had the former Midget A coach was at that meeting.

"Parents don't pick teams"...oh how wrong you are.

Instead of focusing on the "midget problem" how about we start focusing on the younger ages and work on having them stay in the association. How many teams have we lost in the last 3 years? This fact wasn't brought up in the AGM. Instead, board members praised the Ajax tournament as a success.
