Not a chance they go undefeated. ^^^^ The scouts love to watch this team. Just ask them

they barely win each game 2-1. have a recruited team from various centres.
run a very aggresive forecheck system that no one has figured out yet.
kinda boring to watch. team has the personality of their coach. (real life of a party eh Walk's)
And all their parents think they are loaded with superstars and are all gonna get drafted.

but to answer you question - yes I think it is possible they go with zero losses. only team that might deliver a loss is LJK

Obviously you care, to give such a detailed response.

Will Cambridge go undefeated?

45 kids were drafted last year to the OHL from the Alliance. Will it be more or less this year?

Is 8 less than 45?

Cambridge, Brantford, London, Sun County are good teams. The rest, not so much.

Cambridge -good team
Brantford-works hard but tough to do it for a season
London-ok but lots of individual agendas
SC- ok but some say they need home town reffing to compete
HP- could surprise someone down the road
CK-coming down to earth like an anvil
EMC-cant seem to get hot only lukewarm
LJS- one trick pony beginning to show
Waterloo- question is how did they get worse?
KJR-dumb players take dumb penalties
WJS-next question
Hamilton-brutal

go put out a fire you whack job dad. maybe enroll the boy in football next year.

Great location, but Green pad was too small. Pretty sure Sun County is the only centre that regularly plays on a rink that's smaller than NHL size.

There is Cambridge and then there is the rest. None of these other teams can compete outside the Alliance like Cambridge can.

Showcase is over. Thoughts?

Should really be called a "Showcase" game and not an All star game. Really just showcasing some of each teams better players. Lots of good players sitting out. Not two teams of the best kids in the Alliance.

I think in the OHL draft teams are not required to take kids from each team so the All Star concept of having reps from each team is a somewhat suspect indicator of draft potential..

It is the coaches who then submit a list of candidates to alliance office.
Then some old loser who has never seen any games tries to figure out who to select.

half the players selected are there just because their name appears on some leaderboard. Not because they are good hockey players.

the other ones are coaches picks and tainted. total popularity contest.

i bet if you polled 20 scouts you would get an entirely different list.

Definitely some better players missed.

Are you serious ??? Lol. Nice try though. If they wanted to have a top prospects game they would have. Problem is it would have been loaded with CH,LJK,99ers and SC.

Scouts would have a pretty close list to this. Even though it says All Star team the Alliance basically sends kids that are going to have a chance at getting drafted because it looks good for the league. Cambridge Coaches kid is a good example of this as well as others because of size, pedigree or they flat out good. So for the ones not on the list your chances of getting drafted to the OHL are slim but no worries since probably only about 3 from this game will be in the OHL next year. The Alliance is a weak league at this age.
